Sentinel™ PRO Improves Monitoring of HVACR Equipment with Easy System-Wide Integration
ASTON, PA – October 27, 2017 – Sensaphone® will feature the Sentinel™ PRO remote monitoring system at the 2018 AHR Expo, South Hall Booth 4362. The Sentinel PRO monitoring system is ideal for HVAC professionals because it easily integrates devices, polls Modbus registers from other equipment and immediately delivers critical system-wide information.
The Sentinel Pro system can interface with any HVACR equipment that uses a programmable logic controller (PLC) with Modbus sensors. Only one Sentinel PRO device is required to monitor up to 64 Modbus registers and 12 different digital or analog status conditions for HVAC equipment, boilers, chillers, refrigeration and cold storage units. The sensors can monitor virtually any critical condition including temperature from -109 °F to 168 °F (-85 °C to 76 °C), humidity, pressure, pH, conductivity and water leakage.
For remote locations without internet or Ethernet connectivity, a 4G cellular Sentinel PRO system is available that communicates through networks provided by AT&T or Verizon. All Sentinel remote monitoring systems send alerts via phone, email or text. Data values can be viewed in real time via sensaphone.net or the Sensaphone iPhone/Android app. All sensor readings are saved in the cloud, which protects against data loss and provides unlimited information storage.
Sensaphone’s Full Line of Monitoring Systems for HVACR Professionals
In addition to the Sentinel PRO system, Sensaphone will showcase its full line of remote monitoring devices and sensors for the HVACR industry:
Web600 Monitoring System – The Web600 system monitors up to six external conditions such as power failure, temperature from -109 °F to 168 °F (-85 °C to 76°C), humidity and water detection. Users can make programming changes, access status conditions and review data logs online. The system can log up to 100,000 records. In the event of an alarm, the system can notify as many as eight people by email, text message or SNMP trap.
IMS-1000 Monitoring Solution – Each IMS-1000 system supports up to eight sensors to monitor critical environmental conditions such as humidity, water leakage, power outages and temperature to -109 °F (-85° C), ideal for cold-storage applications. One IMS-1000 device can monitor up to eight cold storage units. When the system identifies a potential problem, it immediately sends alerts through Ethernet and telephone connections.
WSG30 Monitoring System – The WSG30 system is a web-based monitoring system that uses wireless sensors to detect problems such as temperature changes from -109 °F to 115 °F (-85 °C to 57 °C), humidity fluctuations, water leaks and power outages. A single WSG30 unit can support up to 30 wireless sensors. In the event of an alarm, the WSG30 system notifies up to 32 people by e-mail, text message, SNMP or Modbus.
Vibration Sensor – The Sensaphone Vibration Sensor is compatible with all Sensaphone monitoring devices that accept a 4-20 mA input. The sensor monitors the vibration velocity on a non-rotating surface and conforms to ISO 10816 guidelines for mechanical vibration. Using the Sensaphone Vibration Sensor helps to safeguard critical equipment through vibration analysis and to prevent possible equipment failure.
Pressure Sensor – The Sensaphone Pressure Sensor monitors for pump problems such as clogged intake or discharge lines, loss of suction or a burst pipe. The sensor has a pressure measuring range of 0 to 200 psi, cable length of 6.6 feet (2 meters) and operates in temperatures from -40 ºF to 194 ºF (-40 ºC to 90 ºC). The sensor sends real-time pressure data to the Sensaphone system for data acquisition and alarming.
About AHR Expo
The International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition (AHR Expo), which started 86 years ago as a heating and ventilation show, has grown into the premier event of the year for the HVACR industry. The 2018 Show will be held in Chicago from January 22-24, hosting more than 2,000 exhibitors and attracting crowds of 65,000 industry professionals from every state in America and 165 countries worldwide. The Show provides a unique forum for the entire HVACR industry to come together and share new products, technologies, and ideas. The AHR Expo is co-sponsored by ASHRAE and AHRI, and is held concurrently with ASHRAE’s Winter Conference. For more information visit https://ahrexpo.com/.
